Former PCCA Gibbs High Graduates Come Home to Perform -- A few years ago they use to perform for Pinellas County as part of the Pinellas County Center for the Arts (PCCA) program at Gibbs High. But they have graduated and have gone onto theatre careers of their own. Now they are coming home to perform once again for Pinellas County.

Sarah McAvoy, Class of 2007, and graduate of Elon University is a member of the cast of August Osage County, one of the most bracing and critically-acclaimed plays in recent Broadway history. It’s the hilarious portrait of a dysfunctional American family at its finest – and absolute worst. Sarah will be performing in August Osage County Oct. 22-30 at the American Stage, 163 Third St. N, St. Petersburg.

Alex Jennings, Class of 2008, will be performing in The Comedy of Errors at the Freefall Theatre, 6099 Central Ave., St. Petersburg, Oct. 27-Nov. 13. This performance is about two sets of twins, both separated at birth (and each set sharing not only the same face, but the same name) find themselves in the city of Ephesus on the same day.

The PCCA is a four-year program that focuses on the areas of dance, musical theatre, technical production, instrumental music, theatre performance, visual arts and vocal music. PCCA trains talented students who are interested in pursuing an arts profession as well as those interested in post secondary academic degrees.
