The Pinellas County Center for the Arts magnet program has a structure unique to its mission as a pre-professional arts training program for artistically talented high school students.  There are five major areas of study: Dance, Music, Theatre, Technical Theatre and Visual Arts.

The Dance Program includes the intensive study of both ballet and modern dance.  Additional course offerings include pointe, variations, partnering, and composition.

The Music Program is divided into instrumental music and vocal music.  All music students study Music Theory, Music History and work in various performance groups.

The Theatre Program is divided into three groups:  Literary Theatre, Musical Theatre and Performance Theatre.  A variety of instructional, practical and performance opportunities will prepare the student for advanced theatre study and employment in the theatrical profession.

Technical Theatre Students explore the areas of costumes, lighting, sound, scenery, and stage management in both practical and academic settings.

The Visual Arts Program offers intensive study in both 2-D and 3-D art.  It is intended to prepare students aesthetically, academically and technically for further studies in the arts or to imbue an appreciation for the arts in those who chose other careers.
